Every member of the TFBW team was chosen with intention. You'll know all of them by name — and they'll know yours.
Kristen is the founder of Texas Family Birth & Wellness and the midwife who will be with you from your first prenatal visit through your final postpartum appointment — every single time.
She earned her BSN from the University of South Alabama in 2014, then her MSN-CNM from Frontier Nursing University in 2020. Before founding TFBW, she gained clinical experience across surgery, orthopedics, emergency medicine, organ transplant, oncology, and women's health — including time at Craig Ranch OBGYN and Parkland Hospital.
She holds hospital privileges at Methodist Celina Medical Center. She is passionate about low-intervention, high-compassion care — and deeply committed to the families and community she serves.
Outside TFBW: family time, mystery novels, leading Bible study, and foster care advocacy.

Angela is TFBW's Lead Birth Assistant and a Registered Nurse with more than a decade of NICU experience — one of the steady, skilled hands in the room on your birth day.
As a BSN-prepared RN, Angela brings clinical depth and calm to the labor room. She works alongside Kristen during active labor and birth, ensuring you have a full team focused entirely on your family at the moment that matters most.
Her presence means Kristen is never working alone — and you're never without attentive, experienced support throughout your birth experience.
Christina is the organizational heart of Texas Family Birth & Wellness — and much more than an office manager. As a trained doula, childbirth educator, and birth assistant, Christina brings hands-on birth knowledge to every role she fills at TFBW.
She's often the first voice families hear when they call the birth center, and the person who helps make sure the details of your care are seamless from the first appointment forward.
Her background in birth support means she understands the emotional journey families are navigating — not just the logistical one.
Laura is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant — the highest credential available in lactation care. She meets with families prenatally around 36 weeks in her office next door to TFBW, and again at their home 3–5 days postpartum to support breastfeeding when it matters most.
The IBCLC credential requires extensive clinical hours and a rigorous international board examination. It's a meaningful difference from general breastfeeding support — Laura has the clinical training to identify and address complex lactation challenges.
Her in-home postpartum visits happen at the precise window when milk transitions and breastfeeding relationships are established — when early, expert support makes the greatest difference.

Cari is TFBW's in-house sonographer, performing ultrasounds throughout all trimesters — including the 20-week anatomy scan — right in the birth center, so families don't have to drive to a separate imaging center.
Having an in-house sonographer is part of what makes the TFBW model truly all-inclusive. Your ultrasounds are performed by someone who is part of your care team, in an environment you're already comfortable in, with results that are immediately available to Kristen.
It's one more way TFBW keeps your pregnancy journey seamless, personal, and all in one place.
